Sarah

Creativity, adventure and movement have always been a part of my life. Having lived in different countries (I was born in South Africa and grew up between there and the UK), I developed a cultural sensitivity and an interest in identity and belonging; as well as a flexibility to adapt to new and challenging circumstances. This significantly helped me in (social) entrepreneurial endeavours resulting in various businesses and jobs... but I was always curious and searching for meaning. My genuine interest in people and authentic connection as well as my own healing journey opened doors to becoming a qualified psychotherapist, yoga teacher and yoga therapist for trauma and anxiety.

I studied Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regent's University in London (PGDip), Yoga Therapy for Anxiety and PTSD with The Minded Institute in London; Yoga for Trauma, Resilience and Social Impact with Golden Mandala School of Yoga and qualified as a Yoga Teacher with Sun Power Yoga in Leicestershire. I am a registered member of BACP and have been in practice for 10 years as a therapist.

In addition, I run retreats integrating therapy, movement, meditation, nature, creativity and food. I am a passionate plant based cook who has completed formal training with The Vegan Chef School in London (Diploma). I see food as an important part of self-care, a celebration of our shared humanity and a labour of love and environmental justice.

I live in Newcastle.
